Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for NC Retreat Center

Alexander County Economic Development | Editor | January 14, 2026

A ribbon cutting was held on January 9 at Redbird Ridge Estate’s new Prayer & Meditation Path. Owners Daron and Alisa Dwyer, along with Commissioner Ronnie Reese, welcomed those in attendance.

Redbird Ridge Retreat Center offers a profound opportunity for spiritual and mental renewal through its unique Prayer & Meditation Path. Spanning over one mile, this nature trail winds through 72 acres of pristine landscape, inviting guests into a haven of tranquility. The path meanders through a rich tapestry of wooded areas, past a serene pond, alongside a gentle creek, and offers breathtaking mountain views, occasionally passing farm animals. Along this journey, 20 unique prayer stations are strategically placed, serving as focal points for contemplation and inner work.

“This path is more than just a stroll; it is a dedicated space for deep reflection, quiet contemplation, and the restorative practice of ‘forest bathing,’ where the natural environment nurtures the mind and spirit,” said Alisa Dwyer.

The Prayer & Meditation Path is part of the Redbird Ridge Retreat Center, which is intentionally designed for those who value intimate, meaningful gatherings.

Whether you are looking for a tranquil getaway or a memorable event, Redbird Ridge Estate captures the essence of North Carolina’s natural beauty and historical charm.
